Overview

This SmartGSM/GPRS add-on board supports five different GSM/GPRS modems: Telit (GM862-QUAD, GM862-QUAD-PY and GM862-GPS), Simcom (SIM340Z) and Siemens (MC55). This provides developers and those wanting to learn about cellular modems and GSM/GPRS communications with a great platform on which to work. The board is designed to plug onto MikroElektronika's PIC, dsPIC, AVR and 8051 development boards or connect to a PC via RS-232, although could also be interfaced to your own circuits and other development boards.

Please note that GSM/GPRS modems, GSM antenna, IPEX to SMA cable (used to connect Siemens MC55 and Simcom SIM340Z modems to antenna) and MMCX to SMA cable (used to connect Telit GM862-QUAD and GM862-GPS modems to antenna) are not included and should be ordered separately - see accessories for details and to order.
