Overview

Easily connect your development board to non-volatile Flash memory. The board is designed to plug onto MikroElektronika's PIC, dsPIC, AVR and 8051 development and prototyping boards, although could also be interfaced to your own circuits and other development boards.

MCP25P80 Non-volatile Serial Flash Memory

The M25P80 employed on the SerialFlash add-on board is an 8Mbit, low-voltage serial Flash memory with 75MHz SPI bus interface. Serial-interface memories can be used in a broad range of applications and are the most flexible type of non-volatile memory used today. Compared to other NVM solutions, the M25P80 device offers a lower pin count, smaller package size, lower voltage, as well as lower power consumption.

The M25P80 is designed to satisfy the needs of modern devices requiring a higher clock frequency and combines an unprecedented level of technical performance, such as extended temperature range as well as improved speed of operation making it ideal for applications such as in multimedia devices, drives, optical and printing devices.
