Overview

A low-cost metal detector add-on board based on the TDA0161 proximity detector from ST Microelectronics. The board connects easily to a microcontroller using a single digital I/O line and produces an active-low output with logic "0" indicating that a metal object is present. An on-board LED lights to indicate detection and a potentiometer is used to adjust sensitivity. Supplied with searching coil and three-way connecting lead for connecting to Inex's robot kits and experiment boards.
