Overview

This SHT1X add-on board is based on an SHT11 sensor that measures both temperature and humidity and features a 2-wire serial interface and internal voltage regulation allowing for easy and fast system integration. Designed for use with MikroElektronika's PIC, dsPIC, AVR and ARM development and prototyping boards, although could also be interfaced to your own circuits and other development boards.

SHT11 Humidity and Temperature Sensor

Sensirion's SHT11 is a surface mountable temperature and relative humidity sensor with integrated sensor elements plus signal processing on a tiny footprint that provides a fully calibrated digital output. A unique capacitive sensor element is used for measuring relative humidity while temperature is measured by a band-gap sensor. The applied CMOSens® technology guarantees excellent reliability and long term stability. The sensor is seamlessly coupled to a 14-bit analog to digital converter and serial interface circuit resulting in superior signal quality, fast response time and insensitivity to external disturbances (EMC).

Features

  • Based on Sensirion's SHT11 temperature and humidity sensor.
  • Interfaces to microcontrollers using a 2-wire serial interface.
  • Connects directly to MikroElektronika's PIC, dsPIC, AVR and ARM development and prototyping boards.
  • Supported by examples supplied with MikroElektronika's mikroBASIC, mikroC and mikroPascal PRO compilers.
