Overview

With this EasyBee board you can connect your design to a ZigBee wireless network. Based on the Meshnetics ZDM-A1281-A2 ZigBit module with dual chip antenna.

ZigBee

ZigBee is the name of a specification for a suite of high level communication protocols using small, low-power digital radios based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard for wireless personal area networks (WPANs). The technology is intended to be simpler and cheaper than other WPANs, such as Bluetooth. ZigBee is targeted at radio-frequency (RF) applications that require a low data rate, long battery life, and secure networking.

ZDM-A1281-A2 ZigBit Module

The Meshnetics ZDM-A1281-A2 ZigBit module with dual chip antenna on which this board is based is a low-power, best-in-class sensitivity 802.15.4/ZigBee module offering superior radio performance with exceptional ease of integration. The ZDM-A1281-A2 eliminates the need for costly and time-consuming RF development and shortens time to market, while embedded 802.15.4/ZigBee software ensures standards-based wireless connectivity for a wide range of applications.
