Overview

The iTouch QVGA Display System consists of an intelligent controller fitted to a 320x240 pixel colour display with touchscreen. The system is based on a powerful Microchip 16-bit PIC24FJ128GA010 microcontroller, which users can program with their own applications using an optional PX-200 programmer or one of Microchip's programmers/in-circuit debuggers.

Besides the display and touchscreen, the iTouch features seven 5V tolerant digital I/O lines, four analogue inputs, a UART configured for RS-232 communications, a UART connected to an FT232RL USB to serial converter for USB communications, a 25LC256 serial EEPROM, an SD/MMC card slot, a piezo speaker, plus a built-in TC1047 temperature sensor and two pushbutton switches.

The iTouch makes a low-cost way to implement many control applications where a high-quality user-friendly means of user input is required. The iTouch could be used as a standalone controller in many applications or as a user interface connected to some additional control system.
