ACS712 30A Range Current Sensor Module

Need to know how much current your motor, solar setup or appliance is drawing? The ACS712 30A module measures both AC and DC current using the Hall effect. The high-current path stays electrically isolated from your Arduino or ESP32.

Key Features

• Based on the Allegro ACS712 Hall effect current sensor (30A version)
• Measures AC and DC current in the range of ±30A
• Analog output of about 66mV per amp, centred at half the supply voltage when no current flows
• 5V operation, simple 3-pin interface: VCC, GND, OUT
• Screw terminals for connecting the current-carrying wire in series
• Works with Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32 and other boards with an analog input

Good to Know

• The output swings above and below the zero point, so calibrate the zero reading in your code.
• When using with 3.3V boards like ESP32, make sure the analog output suits your board's input range.
• For mains AC projects, wire with the power off and keep the high-voltage side insulated.
